Weekend trip to Madurai

It has been really a tough task for most of us to make train tickets on week ends to visit our native places. Having only one train, from Bangalore to Madurai, it is much much difficult to get train tickets booked.... I would say it is pretty easy to fix a bug than getting train tickets in these days... I am not a kind of person who book and hold train tickets, and cancel them when not making the trip. So, there are only two options left out... To make it either by tatkal or by bus...

Waking up very early in the Wednesday morning, getting ready and rushing to office to sit infront of my computer before 7.50 am, logging in to IRCTC site @ sharp 7.55 am from different userid's (all are mine) ,from different browser apps and from all my collegues desktops, and praying to God to get connected to the site. oh goddddd............................
After all these, @ sharp 8.02 am, as expected, due to unexpected reasons, "Service UnAvailable" page will open for sure. Still just to test my luck, i would keep on pressing F5 and patiently wait for some time to get logged in. I would be connected to the site after some few minutes, by then TATKAL WL would have reached >45, which means that ticket will never get confirmed. (Even if it gets connected also, for sure there will be a problem while transfering money through net banking :p)

Atlast, I will be pushed out to go for the second option i.e by bus :(

On considering, my dad's advice, i would prefer to travel only by reputed Private Transport Services rather by Govt. Transport Services. Yeah, no doubts that i would get bus tickets even two days before my travel and for sure I will be placed in Last row :P. So It will be a roller coaster ride for throughout the night and i too enjoy it till i get sleep. So mostly i would go by bus.

One fine wednesday i had planned my trip to Madurai, starting on friday and return on sunday, and booked my onward bus ticket. To my surprise, i had lot of options to choose my seat and i had picked very first row. I was so happy that it will be smooth journey and i can sleep well. I was waiting for that friday to come.
On Friday evening, @ 5pm i opened my bus service login site, to take a printout of my ticket. Got disappointed on seeing, "No tickets found" screen :( Few minutes later, i realized that i had booked ticket on previous day which was already gone and i lost the ticket money. More than money, i dint have ticket to travel. Informed the same to my Dad and got nice scoldings as expected :P It was disturbming me a lot.....No mood to stay back in blore...so was hitting my head.. what to do? what to do?....

I again logged in to the same Private transport site, and checked the availability to Madurai. Though there were many buses, no availability. Since there is always a huge demand to Madurai, it was not a surpirse at all. It striked me why i can't try a different place near to Madurai.... The placed called "Sivakasi" came in to my mind... It is 50 km far away from Madurai and bus route takes VIA Madurai only... I knew that if i pay full ticket money of origin pt to destination pt, i can get down in the middle wherever i want... Hoping that very less people travel to Sivakasi (It is very small town and population is also very less), i searched for availability in the same route... OMG, there was a single ticket left out. I grabbed it before anybody could. Though i paid more money, i was happy that i managed to get ticket in the thrid row!!!!

Bus started @ 9 pm from blore, reached Madurai @ 6.00am. My parents got amazed with my surprise visit and they were very happy to see me.... My mom offered me a filter coffee to feel fresh.... Yes! that was a Narasus coffee... Yummy it was!!! Coffee na Nararus Coffee dhaan...

Thanks to Sivakasi bus for making my Madurai trip :P
